Bible Park USA Officials Invite Public to Community Open Houses
(Febuary 11th and 12th)
Murfreesboro, TN — Officials for Bible Park USA have scheduled three public open houses to inform members of the community about the Bible Park themed attraction planned for northwestern Rutherford County. The sessions, set for February 11 and 12, will be held in La Vergne, Smyrna and Murfreesboro, and will provide an opportunity for citizens to ask questions, provide comments, and obtain information about the educational, entertainment and historical venue being planned for the area. The public is invited and encouraged to attend.
"We want to the community to see first-hand what the Park is all about," said Armon Bar-Tur, Managing Director, SafeHarbor Holding, Inc., and developer of the Bible Park USA.
"The Park will provide a positive, informative foundation for people of all religious traditions, and will be a fun, educational and entertaining experience for people of all ages. Not only will the Park fit in extremely well with the heritage tourism offerings already available in Rutherford County and the entire region, attracting visitors from all over the country, but the Park also will add a very strong economic boost to Rutherford County."
The open house dates, times, locations and schedule follows:
- Monday, February 11, from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. in La Vergne at the City of La Vergne’s Multi-Purpose Building, 5093 Murfreesboro Rd.(behind La Vergne City Hall)
- Tuesday, February 12, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 pm in Smyrna at the Smyrna Town Centre, 100 Sam Ridley Pkwy.
- Tuesday, February 12, from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. in Murfreesboro at the Lane Agri-Park at 315 John R. Rice Blvd.
Consultants from across the country who make up the development team working on the Park will be present and available to talk and discuss the various aspects of the Park.
"Interested citizens can see the entire layout of the Park and better understand this exciting Biblical and historical attraction,” Bar-Tur said. “We have designed an attraction that will be an excellent neighbor to those who live in the area and an additional economic activity generator for the county as a whole."
At each open house, attendees can visit staffed information stations dedicated to different aspects of the Park and can talk one-on-one with the experts in each area to ask questions, view displays and maps, and learn more about the Park.
Citizens may voluntarily provide their email addresses for ongoing updates about the Park and complete a comment card with their thoughts and suggestions. Note-takers will be positioned at each station to record citizens’ questions and comments for later review by consultants. Light refreshments also will be provided.
Bar-Tur said the open houses are designed to offer information about plans for the Park, including how the idea originated, how the concept is being developed, how the Park will be sited on the land, and how the neighborhood’s concerns of traffic, sound and light have been resolved.
"We have been working very hard over these past months,” Bar-Tur said. “In addition to sitting down with more than 600 people throughout the County, including neighborhood residents, pastors, church lay leaders, business and community leaders, and interested citizens, we also have been working very hard to respond to individual concerns about the Park, in particular managing the traffic flow and making sure that light and sound do not affect the neighborhood." "With the help of the Tennessee Department of Transportation, and local county and city officials, we have been able to develop a single direct entrance to the Park that will minimize any Park traffic on local roads," Bar-Tur added.
"We have engaged top-tier light and sound consultants who are employing the latest technologies to ensure the Park’s lighting is sufficient and focused, with no resulting light pollution, and we have added additional barriers and technologies to minimize sound pollution, not only for the neighbors but for Park visitors who are seeking a quieter experience,” he said. “The extra time spent finding these solutions to community concerns has been well worth it. We want to be a good neighbor to the nearby community as well to the entire population of Rutherford County."
